COLIN SUMNER…..is
A professional entertainer, producer & musician currently living in Pretoria South Africa.
He was born in Manchester, U.K. and lived there for 26 years before coming to S.A. in 1982 with ALTITUDE, a 5 piece cabaret / dance band, who had previously played all over the U.K. as well as Germany, Norway & Portugal.He has worked on both sides of the entertainment fence having been employed as a booking agent for Mike Bourne Management. (Entertainment agency)In 1988 along with Danny Fisher he formed “THE ROCK & ROLL MADHOUSE” (50`s & 60`s tribute band). Toured S.A. made 2 albums and appeared on a number of TV. Shows.
In 1991 he put together “CHEERS COMEDY SHOWBAND”, and held down a residency for 4 years at “Your Fathers Moustache” in the Malibu Hotel, Durban. In 1996 he appeared in the show “TAKE THIS” at the Carousel Casino & went on to become the musical director and appear in the shows “BLITZ”, “INFERNO”, “SOULED-OUT”, “LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION”, “MAGICAL MOMENTS” & “8Tz”. After leaving the Carousel in 1999 Colin formed the cabaret duo “GOLD” with Vangie Coker, working at all the top conference venues for many major clients. He also makes up one half of the cabaret duo “HIM & I” with Tonya Koenderman.
Colin directed & co-produced “THANK YOU FOR THE MUSIC” (Abba tribute) “LET IT BE” (Beatles tribute) and “BACHELOR BOY” (Cliff Richard tribute) for the Mardi Gras theatre at Carnival City.

Colin’s act is built purely upon experience, with some nostalgia from THE ROCK & ROLL MADHOUSE, comedy from CHEERS COMEDY SHOWBAND, vocal impressions from GOLD and the professionalism of the Carousel productions.
His one man show includes tributes to ELTON JOHN, BUDDY HOLLY, ROY ORBISON, THE BEE GEES, RONAN KEATING, ELVIS, WILLIE NELSON, JOHNNY MATHIS & BARRY WHITE. With comedy send-ups of popular stars like FREDDIE MERCURY, ABBA, PAVAROTTI, THE VILLAGE PEOPLE and many more..
Colin’s show can be tailored to suit any function, with or without the comedy & the show comes completely self-contained with sound & lights.
There is also the option to include 2 – 4 dancers as part of the production.
Colin Sumner is also available as an MC / COMPERE or a ONE-MAN-BAND with a party repertoire that covers over 4 decades.
DE KING AND I
A dynamic duo offering a complete entertainment package suitable for any occasion. Versatility is the name of the game where De King and I are concerned. Their show can be adapted to suit any desired theme or occasion, and depending on what is required for the evening, their repertoire spans from the music of the fifties right through to present day.
Tony and Nicola perform an outstanding Legends cabaret spot in which they pay tribute to various icons from the music business including the likes of Roy Orbison, Olivia Newton-John, Jerry Lee Lewis, Shania Twain etc. Incorporated into this show, Tony specialises in a brilliant Elvis Presley impersonation with full costume and excellent backing tracks, while Nicola delivers an outstanding tribute to the legendary Marilyn Monroe.
Another very popular feature of Tony and Nicola’s show is the Rock ‘n Roll set. The costumes are colourful and the music is guaranteed to get the party rocking. This show may also be adapted to last the entire evening for Rock ‘n Roll themes.
Tony, an established stand up comedian as well, is featured on guitar with both himself and Nicola on vocals. De King and I is a fully contained show with original backing music and plenty of audience participation.
They are the perfect package for any corporate function because there is no need for any extra entertainment. Tony will perform a hilarious comedy spot and is also a most capable and professional M.C. for any type of evening, an example being Awards Evenings or Prize Givings. The Elvis and Marilyn cabaret spot is perfectly suited for corporate events and Tony and Nicola will also provide live dance music to end the evening if required. Background music is also supplied during the course of the evening. De King and I come highly recommended and will ensure a good evenings entertainment, whatever the occasion.
DAMON HOWARD
Damon Howard played saxophone in various bands when he finished high school in Johannesburg, before graduating as a dentist and dedicating his musical career to his first love, singing. After playing to diverse audiences at weddings and Barmitvahs and at German Oompah gigs for a number of years, Damon decided to zero in on Rock ‘n Roll. While there is no shortage of bad Elvis impersonators, there are very few really good ones. South Africa’s own Damon Howard is one of the best, attesting to this is the fact that he was awarded South Africa’s Best Elvis Impersonator at a competition held at Caesar’s Casino.
Damon performs to authentic backing tracks. He has had appeared at all the major fleamarkets in Gauteng and he regularly performs at supper clubs, exhibition centers and for launches/promotions and corporate events both within and outside the country’s borders. Damon has appeared numerous times on radio and television and has released his own CD. Escape for a few hours back into the Rock ‘n Roll era by having the ‘KING’ drop in at your next function.
THREE’S COMPANY
Three’s Company Carroll Foster, Katie Pennington and Eileen Butler take the audience on a musical tour through the decades from the 1940’s to the 1990’s. They feature the female trios who made it to the top of the hit parades. They also recreate the popular fashions of those eras.
Three’s Company do renditions of famous songs by various bands including The Dixie Cups with Going to the Chapel, The Crystals with Da Doo Run Run, The Shangrilas – Leader of the Pack, The Supremes – Stop in the Name of Love and Baby Love. Their polished renditions of well-known songs by famous female trios and their tribute to the Three Sopranos make for must-see entertainment.
