Welcome to the Era that is Denim!
Still regarded as one of the top live acts, Denim has hit the SA and international music scene by storm yet again. Like jeans never go out of style, Denim has continuously shown their staying power, relevance and ability to entertain across all cultural boundaries and age groups. Bo, Tumi and Baldwin have time and again shown their innovation, passion and professionalism, by not just following musical trends but setting them, thus solidifying them as the ultimate cross-over entertainers.
Following the success of the hit single “We Own The Night” featuring Liesl Penniken from sensational female group Jamali, the second hit single and title track “Crazy Love” off the new album has taken the airwaves by storm, making it one of the highest played tracks on SA radio. The original track “Crazy Love” rose to number 1 on both JacarandaFM and Algoa FM, the top 5 of the 94.7 Highveld stereo take 40 SA and K-fm charts in Cape Town…as well as climbing up the charts of many more big radio stations across the country.
Their brand new, Chart Topping, cross-over Double album “Crazy Love” is finally here. 23 Hot Denimstyle tracks featuring some of SA’s TOP Artists, including the Grammy award winning Soweto Gospel Choir, multi-platinum selling kwaito superstar Brickz ma Brigado, hip hop wonderboy Da Les, legendary female icon Thembi Seete, Award winning R&B producer Bryce Anderson and to add a little bit of Nigerian flavour, up and coming sensation KDO, as well as many more. “This Album is by far our best work ever and has something for everyone to enjoy from the clubs to the corporate event dance floors”. With 19 of the 23 tracks on the new album being original material, Denim has cemented themselves in the market as a creative force to be reckoned with.
So far Denim has filmed 2 international music videos, for the tracks “I Like” filmed on location in Mauritius, Palazzo Hotel and Soweto and “Crazy Love” which was filmed in Switzerland and Austria.
To experience the band in their element, you have to see them performing live, where they continue to do what they do best (Denimize!). This simply means to mesmerize, entertain and wow their audiences with their tight harmonies, slick dance routines and spectacular interactive performances.
Denim has toured The UAE, The USA, The UK, Europe, as well as the Caribbean islands.
The group has received numerous accolades for both their music and their performances and a haul of blue chip clients that have booked them for their corporate events, including Microsoft, ABI, SAB, Edcon, Standard Bank, Nedbank, Boxing SA, Sun International, Unilever, De Beers, Colgate etc.
The Band was listed as one of Top 20 Music Brand in the country – Sunday Times Top Brand Survey in 2009. Denim has recently signed with one of the best booking agencies, About Entertainment. The collaboration of these two power houses will catapult and set new standards in the industry. “We love what we do, we want to take our audience on a journey they will relate to, feel inspired by and will never forget” – Bo Denim
