Fans know Brümilda van Rensburg in 44 African countries for her role as Louwna Vorster on M-Net's popular soap Egoli, in which she has starred for over ten years. Brümilda graduated cum laude with a BA Honors degree in Drama and won a student award twice for her achievements in the dramatic arts at university. At school she was the first pupil ever to be awarded school colours for acting. Upon graduating Brümilda worked with CAPAB for three years and won a prestigious Fleur du Cap award for her role as Cassandra in The Orestian Trilogy.
Her husky voice, faultless frame and sultry looks, make Brümilda the ideal "femme fatale" yet she has proven herself equally capable of playing more understated roles. Derek wrote news for SABC TV in its infancy (1978), was the first sports presenter on TV1 News and Network (in the days when sport was separate) and then launched TopSport with Martin Locke. In 1987 Derek won a Star Tonight! Award for the best contribution in sports coverage on TV1.
Then a call from the legendary Shaka Zulu man, Bill Faure, changed his career path and led to the formation of Carte Blanche which, 15 years on, has become an institution on the South African scene. In 1992 Derek won a Star Tonight! Award, this time for the best actuality reporter on any South African TV channel.

She has written many children's books as well as adult audience poetry and short stories and plays. Her writings are published all over the world and translated into German, French, Italian, Swahili and Japanese. Her work is used extensively in many schools and universities. Gcina produced and performed in the collaboration CD for children with Ladysmith Black Mambazo - released by Music for Little People in America, 1993. She has written music for the SABCTV series Gcina & Friends where she performed her own stories for television audiences. In 2000 she released an award-winning storytelling CD called Fudukazi's Magic for German audiences. Gcina wrote both the story and music for Fudukazi's Magic which was also produced for video in collaboration with Anant Singh of VideoVision. She has also written both story and music in collaboration with guitarist, Bheki Khoza, for the Animated Tales of the World Series, which featured in Right Angle in the UK as well as the SABC. In 2001 her CD and book of Nozincwadi Mother of Books was produced as part of her nationwide reading road show to South African rural schools. Her work has received awards from BBC Africa Service for Radio Drama, The Fringe First Award in the Edinburgh Festival, the Josef Jefferson Award in Chicago, and OBBIE in New York. Gcina Mhlophe has received Honorary Doctorates from the London Open University as well as the University of Natal. This year sees the publication of her book and CD, African Mother Christmas by Maskew Miller Longman, as well as the republication of Love Child (now in English), and Have You Seen Zandile by University of Natal Press, the latter two being launched at the Time of the Writer 2002 festival.

In 1994 Gerry was part of the Transitional Executive Council (TEC), facilitating the ANC's entry into government, she left Pretoria to work with the South African Broadcast Corporation (SABC) as a programme anchor. In 1997 Gerry joined national and international broadcaster M-Net as a continuity announcer and anchor.Gerry is Master of Ceremonies for product launches, conferences, exhibitions, and other special events. As a motivational speaker, she shares her inspiring story with women of all walks of life. Gerry conducts grooming and presentation workshops for women under the "Gerry and Friends" banner. She uses her celebrity status to get involved in as many social projects as possible. Joe Mafela has had a 40-year prolific show business career during which time he has acted in numerous feature films, on television series, in television and radio commercials and theatre productions. He has produced over four CD's and several musicals and is a popular Master of Ceremonies for corporate launches, inaugurations, award ceremonies and private parties.Joe has acted in major roles on numerous television productions including Madam & Eve, Going Up, Is Good Is Nice, and Khululeka. The multi-talented Pepsi Pokane is a television presenter, Master of Ceremonies, voice over artist and script-writer. He has been a television studio presenter for Limits Unlimited, an SABC 1 continuity presenter, a Miss SA Teen Presenter and a segment presenter for the Toasty Show as well as the Cinemagic presenter on M-Net.As a compere he is frequently approached to do shows and beauty pageants and is also a motivational workshop facilitator and motivational speaker. Pepsi's voice over work extends from radio to television. As a scriptwriter he often scripts his own lines for television shows. He conceptualised, researched and scripted his own segment for the Toasty Show and has done ad-lib presenting on television.

Peter Ndoro was born in Zimbabwe and went to live in England with his family, where he grew up. The Ndoros returned to Zimbabwe when Peter was 15 and he finished his schooling in Harare. His future as an accountant looked set until on his last day of articles he resigned, took stock of his life and with the prompting of a friend decided to audition for a job on ZBC Radio One in Zimbabwe. He stayed at ZBC for six months and moved to South Africa to further his career in broadcasting.
Peter got a Voice Over position with M-Net and soon afterwards his face was on the box. His soothing voice was heard on Radio Highveld and SAFM. In addition to being a much-demanded Master of Ceremonies and television personality, Peter has his own production company.

Phil Wolfaardt has been in the entertainment industry for over 18 years, specialising in the corporate environment, he is a storyteller, joke-maker, Master of Ceremonies and actor. He is the original,
"Chuck us a Can" Charlie and more recently appeared in the NBS TV and Radio ad'sPhil has also engaged in some successful sales motivation with a twist, for various companies. He fronts all Sandown Motors functions and their 4X4 off- road club. He is also Anchor for the Lunch Time Current Affairs Programme on Safm.Vuyo made his television debut in 1993 for TSS now SABC 3 as a Continuity Presenter and worked his way up to Sport Presenting and eventually as a News Anchor.
